Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque ( Arabic : جامع الشيخ زايد الكبير ‎) is located in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates and is considered to be the key for worship in the country. It is the largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates and the eighth largest mosque in the world. The building complex measures approximately 290 m (960 ft) by 420 m (1,380 ft), covering an area of more than 12 hectares (30 acres), exclusive of exterior landscaping and vehicle parking.

If you see nothing else in the UAE the mosque is the place to see. Sheikh Zayed left no detail untouched - it is a true symbol of one's dedication to his religion. The warmth, friendliness, mystique are surrounded by infinite beauty. You'll see the worlds largest carpet and the worlds largest chandelier. Words and pictures can't even begin to describe how beautiful this place really is!

Tip: If you have to cover up (hair and body), there are robes that you can borrow for free, just leave a piece your ID.
